Choir News
Just why do several of the choir members leave
after the anthem at the 10:30 worship service? Well, some of the
singers who attended the 8:00 a.m. worship service and stayed to
help the choir with the songs at the late service as well. We want
to express our appreciation to these choir members who willingly
give extra time to serve at both services.
If you love the Lord, love to sing, and love
to have fun in the middle of the week, then the Hamilton Chancel (Adult)
Choir is for you! A fellowship of believers who care for another, the
choir provides leadership in worship each week for the Hamilton congregation.
The Chancel Choir sings anthems in worship each week and participates
in other events and activities throughout the year. Over the past year
or two, the Hamilton Choir has participated in:
-
Presenting Christmas and
Easter cantatas each holy season
-
Leadership in special
services such as Revivals, Holy Week, and others
-
Fifth-Sunday, music-special
worship services
-
Singing the national anthem
at a Nashville Sounds game
-
Participated in Spring
Choir Festival with other choirs in the Antioch and Donelson
areas
-
Attended Church Choir
Weekend at Lake Junaluska, North Carolina each fall
-

-
Music theory classes
The Chancel Choir meets Wednesday
nights at 6:30-8:00 PM in the church sanctuary. No
music training or experience is necessary but we'll take it if
you've got it! We hope you'll add your voice and "Make a Joyful
Noise" with the Hamilton Chancel Choir!
Bill Gnegy directs the choir and is accompanied by Mary
Ann Papuchis and Linda Martinez.
